Consignment FAQ's

How do I become a Consignor at Cait's?

All of our consignments are by appointment.  Feel free to give us a call at (708) 995-7746, set up an appointment and we can help you become a successful consignor.  

How long can my items stay?

We will consign your items for 60 days.  After the first 30 day, we will reduce the price by 30%.  We allow all consignors a chance to pick up their items that did not sell after the 60 days.  Please note:  It is your responsibility to keep the timetable of your items.  

What is our commission?

At Cait's, we have a 60/40 split on all consignment pieces.  This is the same for all items, big or small.

How and when do I get paid? 

Once your item are sold, you will receive a check on the 20th of the following month.  The check will be available for pickup at our Mokena Warehouse for 30 days after issued.  If your check is not picked up, it becomes store credit.  

How do I know what has sold?

Once you become a consignor, you will be sent an email invitation to a consign account.  This account becomes active once your items are inventoried and entered into our online system.  You can then log in and check the progress of your consignments.
